Global player: With subsidiaries in six different countries and more than 1,350 employees, SOEX is the expert for used textile collection, processing, trading, recycling, and every step in between. SOEX-Textilvermarktungsgesellschaft m.b.H. has its German headquarters in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg.
Going strong for five decades: SOEX Collecting Germany is a German market leader in the traditional collection of used clothing and serves as the most important contact for tailored logistics and collection concepts. The administrative center, with over 20 employees, is Bassum, approximately 30 km south of Bremen. A field team of ten employees provides expert advice on all matters regarding the collection of used textiles.

In the heart of Saxony-Anhalt, in Germany, SOEX put the largest used textile sorting plant in the world into operation in 1998. Over an area the size of 13 football fields, SOEX Processing Germany’s 750 employees sort up to 300 tons of used textiles and shoes every day.
The Wolfen SOEX plant in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany has been successfully recycling used textiles since 1999. Every year, 11,000 tons of used textiles are mechanically shredded in 24/7 operation to create choice secondary raw materials (mixture of recycled material). These materials are then reprocessed into new products in various industries.
Reliable, safe, transparent and flexible: SOEX Trading Germany is a long-time partner of many internationally renowned retail and textile companies. The company purchase, process and trade end-of-line goods, returned goods, leftover stock, pallet goods, liquidation goods and seasonal ware covering textiles, shoes, accessories and durable goods.
A circular economy means taking responsibility for the products. Our subsidiary I:CO, short for I:Collect, is the global service provider for the in-store collection, re-use and recycling of used textiles and shoes. Since it was founded, in 2009, I:CO has offered an alternative to traditional collection concepts with its global take-back system.
PICKNWEIGHT shows how to turn buying vintage clothing into a fashion event: PICKNWEIGHT based on the idea by selling clothing from various decades by the kilo instead of at fixed prices – and creating a unique atmosphere to boot. There are PICKNWEIGHT KILO stores in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Munich.

Founded on 1 September 2016 in Fujairah, operations were moved to the newly built SOEX plant in the Emirate of Sharjah in 2018. Here, in the 10,000 m2 facility, around 200 employees sort and pack up to 100 tons of used textiles and shoes.
